Brilliant and well organised event with very friendly and approachable staff.

Great day in the saddle, friendly and well run. Thanks folks!
I feel more marshals out on the course would make it feel much more beginner friendly. I am quite an experienced cyclist and had a Garmin giving me info on where I was. If I was to look at it from a beginner point of view, I guess it could feel a bit isolating if you were on your own in such a vast countryside. Having more marshals out round the course would help reassure the less experienced that they will be ok.
This was my first time at this event. I loved it. The climbs where challenging and descents thrilling. Thank you.

This is why I cycle!
Fantastic choice at the feed stations. Volunteers were wonderful.
Everyone welcome, from flat out racers to beginners and leisure riders

Mentally and physically exhausting
It would be safer to have the start group held on the tarmac straight down from the start line, rather than having to negotiate an awkward 90 degree turn with no speed and loads of people trying to get clipped in

Wonderful route and well organised event.

Great event although not for the feint hearted
Really great event. Just a couple of points for improving next year.
Could you provide zip/cable ties for securing the race numbers to our bikes?
Could we wear the gps chip on our ankles like we do in triathlons? The gps was banging on my watch and wrist for most of the ride.
Can the results be released the same day the event closes/ or early the next day. I still have no idea how I got on.
All in all a top event, I'm already looking forward to getting out on that extra section included at Loch Katrine when my legs have recovered!

Pure magic. Organisation, signage, re-fuelling, event village all excellent.

Excellent day out
The move of the event to June has meant that midges were much worse than last years May date. They were brutal at time on and off the bike. Also would be good to have it on a Saturday so folk could stay over after the event more easily. My pal had to drive back to Inverness as he had to work Monday. Which after 11 hrs on the bike isn’t ideal.

A very challenging and fun day in the Trossachs, well worth travelling for the elevation gain
Aberfoyle or Gravelfoyle is defo a prime gravel destination with loads and loads of tracks and lots of climbing (and descending).

Stunning
Stunning route. Lovely people.
Even the midges couldn't stop the fun
well done to everyone involved :)

Very good event, great gravel community. Everyone was looking out for each other. Lot of hello’s and high fives!!
Hats down to the organisers, great event, tough.. it’s world class!!

Brilliant, challenging ride around the best gravel in the UK!
I loved this ride: very helpful, cheerful Marshalls (despite the midges) and nice chilled atmosphere at the finish. My only criticism would be that the start was delayed by ~20 mins, which got frustrating with all the midges. There were also a few places where other riders had taken wrong turns (I would advise all riders to have the GPS route loaded), and one descent, ending in a sharp right turn at a gate that was not clearly signposted (a few of us nearly crashed there).
But otherwise this was a really wonderful day on the bike!

It was a challenging ride with a lot of technical sections, plenty of long hills and a fair few ramps.
I particularly enjoyed the set of switchbacks as we were heading to the finish in the last third of the ride. The organisation was good and seemless and everyone was helpful and friendly.

Great day out on great trails and a great atmosphere and event village
Bl**dy midges :-)

Great event.
Love this event and appreciate how difficult it is to organise in the area with the many stakeholders
The mtb descent off Loch katrine was challenging on gravel tyres. Might be too technical for a gravel event for some.

Very hard day
Did notice alot of people taking shortcuts around loch Katherine section. A bit demoralising when people where at the half way feed station who didn't pass you out. Maybe put marshall where people have the opportunity to take short cuts
Alice Paterson
Superbly organised, stunning scenery and amazingly friendly marshalls
Thanks so much! What a fab event. The course was so well thought out and such beautiful scenery. All the marshalls were incredible, really proactive in offering food and drink and bringing our stash bags to us at the 2nd feed station. Gary the sweeper was an absolute star, so patient and generous and helpful and didn’t make us feel too pressured. Thank you! You are awesome!!

Savage but brilliant
